Any Corner Gas fans out there?
I love weird quirky humor. Who knew Canadians were that damned funny?
Not since Bob and Doug Mackenzie anyway.

Ooh, I have not heard of that of which you post. I will have to check it out.
ReplyDeleteI am feeling this need to watch Strange Brew.
Less polite than Tania. WTF are you talking about?
ReplyDeleteAnd just so everybody knows, I did not work on Batman. Jim seems to be done with that little theme.
Ack, sorry.
ReplyDeleteI was in major pain last night and not entirely coherent.
Corner Gas is a Canadian Sitcom, currently on nightly in syndication on WGN. There's their Website.
I started watching it several weeks ago, and it's funny as all hell - in a weird alien Canadian on the plains sort of way. The humor is sometimes subtle, something blunt, sometimes incomprehensible, very Canadian. Unlike America sitcoms, there's no fake laugh track. Which is rather strange for an American audience, and I like strange.
And, yeah, I figured I ran the quote thing to ground - for anybody interested, for several weeks I've been putting up movie quotes that all had something in common - they were all from movies Nathan worked on. Just for fun and just because I felt like it.
No wonder the only person able to figure it out was Nathan.
ReplyDeleteThanks for bringing it up again, btw, I had been wondering.
Well, it was nothing official or anything - just something that amused me to do :)
ReplyDeleteObviously you missed out on watching The Red Green Show, which was also hilarious.
ReplyDeleteAh! So that was what those quotes were all about.
